GREEN BAY, Wis. -- When B.J. Raji avoided a fine for his late hit on Cardinals tight end Darren Fells in last Saturday’s NFC divisional playoff game, it closed the book on the Green Bay Packers’ possible fines from this season.
There were only four known fines on Packers’ players this season and at least one was reduced.
Here are all the Packers’ fines this season:
T.J. Lang: $8,681 for his role in an altercation with Seahawks linebacker K.J. Wright in Week 2. Lang told ESPN.com that the fine was reduced to approximately $5,000 after his appeal.
Clay Matthews: $17,363 for a hit on Rams quarterback Nick Foles in Week 5. Matthews, like Lang, said he planned to appeal his fine. He has been successful in the past at getting fines reduced or eliminated.
Don Barclay: $8,681 for a facemask against the Cardinals in Week 16
Datone Jones: $17,363 for a hit on Redskins quarterback Kirk Cousins in the NFC wild-card playoff game.
There could have been other fines, but the league does not openly announce them; they only confirm specific requests for fine information.
Last season, the Packers had a total of six known fines for $88,197.
