HOUSTON -- Running back Lamar Miller was underused in the Miami Dolphins' offense last season, but he should not have the same problem this year in Houston.
Miller averaged 196 carries in his final three campaigns in Miami, but the additional work he will see with the Texans should give him the opportunity to put up RB1 numbers.
Lamar Miller
ESPN Fantasy Projection: 1,230 yards, 6.4 TDs
Over or under: Miller will have more than six touchdowns, but I will take the under on yards. The Texans have other capable weapons on offense, and only two NFL running backs ran for more than 1,200 yards last season. Miller had eight touchdowns while not having the carries of an every-down back in 2015, so I expect him to take advantage of the larger workload.
ESPN Fantasy projection: 102.5 yards, 0.6 TDs
Over or under: I think it will be tough for Blue not to exceed these projections. While Miller will get most of the touches, Blue will still get his chances in Houston's offense.
Who else could see time: Rookie fourth-round pick Tyler Ervin and Jonathan Grimes are competing for the third-down back spot during the preseason. Akeem Hunt, who along with Grimes and Blue filled in for an injured Arian Foster last season, could see playing time as well.
