This series takes a look back at the rookies and the impact they did or didn't have on the Jacksonville Jaguars' 2015 season.
Seventh-round picks WR Neal Sterling and TE Ben Koyack
Sterling: He was on the practice squad the first six weeks of the season and then played in nine of the remaining 10 games, mainly on special teams.
Koyack: He spent the entire season on the practice squad.
Impact: The Jaguars didn't get much out of these two, but that's not a surprise considering how stocked their positions were. Sterling wasn't getting on the field over Allen Robinson, Allen Hurns, Marqise Lee, and Rashad Greene, and Bryan Walters emerged as a dependable player who could step in when needed. The Jaguars are intrigued by Sterling because of his size (6-foot-3, 240 pounds) and at one time there was discussion about him potentially becoming a flex tight end. He's a raw player but the Jaguars are going to take another look at him in the offseason.
Koyack was the No. 5 tight end behind Julius Thomas, Marcedes Lewis, Clay Harbor and Nic Jacobs. Harbor is an unrestricted free agent and Koyack could be his replacement if Harbor does not re-sign with the Jaguars.
