Analysis: Even though the Chiefs have Fisher, the first pick in the 2013 draft, and traded this month with the New Orleans Saints for a two-time former Pro Bowler in Grubbs, the Chiefs are still among the bottom spenders in the league at these positions. They've declined to pay their own free agents what other teams will. Other than Grubbs and Fanaika, who signed this month as a free agent from the Arizona Cardinals, all of the offensive linemen are either playing on the contracts they signed as Kansas City draft picks or are working for minimum pay.
