NAPA, Calif. -- The Oakland Raiders swapped out a pair of small receivers/returners Tuesday and added a former teammate of quarterback Derek Carr in the process.
Oakland cut undrafted rookie Austin Willis and then signed veteran Devon Wylie. Wylie played with Carr at Fresno State before entering the NFL in 2012. Carr joined him in the league last year.
Oakland is Wylie's fifth NFL organization. He has played in eight NFL games and has six catches for 63 yards, 14 kickoff returns for 285 yards and seven punt returns for 30 yards. Oakland is looking for a return man. Wylie has an outside chance to make the 53-man roster, but he must perform well in the preseason. The speedy Willis played at Emporia State.
