Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories Tuesday from around the Web:
Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald writes the Dolphins’ depth at receiver is already showing with the offseason production of Jarvis Landry and Rishard Matthews.
Morning take: Both players stepped up Monday with the absence of first-round pick DeVante Parker, who will miss approximately two months after foot surgery. This will not be an area of weakness for Miami.
Dave Hyde of the Sun Sentinel writes Dolphins cornerback Jamar Taylor is working to become a “somebody” in the NFL.
Morning take: The best way to do that is to win the starting cornerback job. Taylor has shown flashes and this is a good time to take his game to the next level.
Andrew Abramson of the Palm Beach Post writes Dolphins rookie Jamil Douglas is challenging for a starting job.
Morning take: Douglas is pushing Dallas Thomas for the starting job at left guard and has a good chance. Thomas hasn’t played well his previous two seasons.
The Dolphins team site writes about the signing of wide receiver Tommy Streeter.
Morning take: Streeter spent time with Miami last season, mostly on the practice squad but also briefly on the 53-man roster. Streeter has a long climb to make the team at that position.
