Here are the most interesting Miami Dolphins stories from around the web Friday:
Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel writes that the absence of Pro Bowl safety Reshad Jones, who wants a new contract, could impact the secondary.
Morning take: The Dolphins have several new pieces in the secondary at cornerback (Byron Maxwell, Xavien Howard) and safety (Isa Abdul-Quddus). It will take time for Jones to gain chemistry with his new teammates, but that will have to wait until later in the offseason.
Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald writes that the Dolphins have a lot of competition on special teams.
Morning take: Kicker, long-snapper and kick return are among the positions the Dolphins are trying to figure out this offseason. Roster decisions after training camp could determine how things shake out on special teams.
Andy Cohen of the Dolphins team website writes that defensive end Cameron Wake still has a lot left.
Morning take: Wake is ahead of schedule in his rehab from an Achilles injury. At 34, Wake must prove once again that he can still get to the quarterback.
