MINNEAPOLIS -- Hello from TCF Bank Stadium, where the Minnesota Vikings and Washington Redskins are scheduled for a noon kickoff in the Vikings' final game before their bye week. The University of Minnesota had asked the Vikings not to use the Redskins' name in marketing materials leading up to the game, and several thousand protestors gathered outside the stadium before the game to object to the nickname.
Inside the stadium, the Vikings have made good on their promise to punish players who were guilty of committing multiple penalties on special teams. Rookies Antone Exum and Jabari Price -- perhaps the Vikings' two biggest offenders -- were among the team's inactives for the Redskins game, meaning the Vikings will have changes to their punt return unit on Sunday.
Price was questionable for the game with a hamstring injury, but the fact the Vikings also sat Exum sent a message they were serious about changes on special teams.
