Belichick will travel the country and check out various pro days, while also putting prospects through individual workouts and watching film with them. So, too, does Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio, who is at Temple's pro day on Wednesday.

Specific to Alabama, the Patriots used their top pick in the 2016 draft on cornerback Cyrus Jones (second round, No. 60 overall), who played for the Crimson Tide. The team also has linebacker Dont'a Hightower (unrestricted) and tight end Michael Williams (restricted) on its roster, with both scheduled for free agency starting Thursday at 4 p.m. ET.
