FOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- New England Patriots cornerback Brandon Browner said he is feeling OK after leaving Saturday’s 35-31 playoff win over the Baltimore Ravens in the third quarter with a knee injury.
“I feel good,” Browner said at his locker after the game. “I [won’t miss any time]. Just being cautious.”
Browner did not return to the game after injuring it with 6:35 remaining in the third quarter. He did, however, return to the sideline to cheer his teammates on, especially cornerback Logan Ryan, who played in Browner’s absence.
“I knew Logan Ryan would be a better fit than me being in there,” Browner said. “So we got ballers.
“Very proud [of the way Ryan stepped in]. That’s my little brother, you know.”
Browner was impressed with his teammates for stepping up in the face of adversity -- rallying from two separate 14-point deficits. The two 14-point comebacks were the largest in Patriots’ postseason history.
“It’s tough when you are down 14 and you don’t know how it’s going to swing,” Browner said. “Guys stepped up. It’s the makeup of our team.”
