How will the Tennessee Titans' tight ends stack up in production in 2016?
ESPN Fantasy Projection: 70.4 catches, 857.9 yards, 5.3 TDs
Over/under: Over. The Titans are going to run the ball a ton, and Walker’s numbers will come down from the 94 catches and 1,088 yards he had in 2015. Still, when Marcus Mariota looks for a reliable target, Walker heads the list. The staring receivers -- Rishard Matthews and Tajae Sharpe -- are new, and Kendall Wright has been dinged up. I thinks these projections are in the right range, though I do suspect Walker could be close to 10 touchdowns since the Titans don’t have a lot of proven red-zone options.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: 12.6 catches, 13.6 yards, 1.3 TDs
Over/under: These projections are tiny for the second tight end on a team that will have two tight ends on the field a great deal. Walker is getting the vast, vast majority of tight end touches on the Titans. You shouldn’t draft Fasano. But the Titans will look to him from time to time as defenses won’t be paying him a great deal of attention. He’ll do more than this. And if Walker gets hurt, Fasano will be productive while he’s out.
ESPN Fantasy Projection: 6.2 catches, 69.8 yards, 0.5 TDs
Over/under: Over by a bit, but not in a way that would be relevant for any fantasy team. Stevens is a blocker, first and foremost, and a good one who is a key to work that will supplement and enhance the offensive line’s work.
Who else could see time: As of now, Phillip Supernaw is fourth in line. If he’s the guy, his work will come largely on special teams if everyone is healthy.
