Here is the projected starting lineup for the Washington Redskins heading into training camp:
OFFENSE
Quarterback (Robert Griffin III): Is play-action the answer? Griffin managed 11.14 play-action dropbacks per game in 2012-13 but only 7.5 last season.
Running back (Alfred Morris): Morris is tied with Marshawn Lynch over the last three years with 110 runs of 10-plus yards.
Fullback (Darrel Young): His snaps have decreased from a high of 305 in 2012 to 198 last season.
Wide receiver (Pierre Garcon): Garcon caught 32 passes on third downs in 2013 but only five last season.
Wide receiver (DeSean Jackson): He averaged a career-best (and NFL-best) 8.30 yards after the catch in his first Redskins season.
Tight end (Jordan Reed): Shorter throws in 2014 resulted in his yards per catch dropping from 11.03 to 9.30. Reed must prove he can stay healthy.
Left tackle (Trent Williams): The three-time Pro Bowler, who is entering the final year of his contract, dropped 20 pounds in the offseason.
Left guard (Shawn Lauvao): In 2014, the Redskins averaged 3.87 yards on runs toward left guard -- their lowest figure.
Center (Kory Lichtensteiger): He might have been the Redskins' most reliable lineman a year ago, his first season at center.
Right guard (Spencer Long): Long played just 16 snaps in parts of three games as a rookie in 2014.
Right tackle (Brandon Scherff): The fifth overall pick in this year's draft has been the starter since his first workout in the spring.
DEFENSE
Defensive end (Jason Hatcher): Last season, he had eight solo tackles and 2.5 sacks in the first three games, then seven solo tackles and 2.5 sacks in his next 10.
Nose tackle (Terrance Knighton): Knighton was a key reason why Denver allowed only 3.41 yards per first down run last season, second-best in the NFL.
Defensive end (Stephen Paea): Paea is coming off a career-best season in which he notched six sacks and 24 solo tackles.
Outside linebacker (Ryan Kerrigan): He has forced 12 fumbles since entering the NFL in 2011, second in that span to Seattle’s Cliff Avril.
Outside linebacker (Preston Smith): He must unseat Trent Murphy first, which could take some time. In 24 career starts in college, Smith recorded 21.5 tackles for a loss and 11.5 sacks.
Inside linebacker (Keenan Robinson): Robinson missed three games in 2014 but still led the Redskins with 109 tackles.
Inside linebacker (Perry Riley): In 70 career games, Riley has two forced fumbles, one interception and 9.5 sacks.
Cornerback (Chris Culliver): The free-agent signee instantly became the Redskins' top corner.
Cornerback (DeAngelo Hall): Coming off an Achilles injury, and at 31, Hall must prove he’s still a quality corner.
Strong safety (Jeron Johnson): He is locked in a tight battle with Duke Ihenacho; Johnson has made one career start.
Free safety (Dashon Goldson): He intercepted 14 passes between 2009-12 in San Francisco and only one the past two years in Tampa Bay.
SPECIAL TEAMS
Kicker (Kai Forbath): Forbath is consistent with field goals (career 88.1 percent), but his 18 touchbacks ranked 31st in the NFL last season.
Punter (Tress Way): Way was third in the NFL last season with 36 punts of 50 yards or more -- that represents 46.7 percent of his punts.
Long snapper (Nick Sundberg): Sundberg has been a consistent player for Washington since joining the team in 2010, but missed a combined 19 games to injuries in 2012-13.
Kick returner (Andre Roberts): Roberts had just six returns for 30 yards or more, and none longer than 45 in 2014.
Punt returner (Jamison Crowder): Crowder's quick feet enabled him to average 13.4 yards on 65 punt returns in college.
