ASHBURN, Va., -- Washington Redskins defensive end Jason Hatcher said he’s pleased with the progress in his knee and remains confident he’ll play against Indianapolis on Sunday.
Hatcher was limited in practice Friday after being unable to practice the previous two days because of an injured right knee. Hatcher said an MRI "came back good" and that his knee has improved.
"It was a freak accident," Hatcher said. "I don’t want to go into detail about it, it’s something that happened… I felt it in the game and played through it. I just have to rest it during the week. It’s responding well and I look forward to playing."
Corner E.J. Biggers did not practice because of a concussion suffered last week and is a long shot to play Sunday. Defensive end Chris Baker (sternum) was limited, but there is optimism he will be able to play. Tight end Jordan Reed (hamstring) and left tackle Trent Williams (knee) both practiced in full and are listed as questionable on the injury report.
With Biggers sidelined, the Redskins might opt for safety Trenton Robinson as their slot cornerback. They also have cornerbacks Greg Ducre and Chase Minnifield.
