ASHBURN, Va. -- Six players, including three starters, did not practice Thursday, leaving coach Jay Gruden concerned about their status for Sunday's game against St. Louis.
Receiver DeSean Jackson (fibula), linebacker Keenan Robinson (knee) and safety Brandon Meriweather (toe) -- all starters -- did not practice, nor did defensive end Kedric Golston (foot/back), corner E.J. Biggers (concussion) and corner Chase Minnifield (concussion).
Also, safety Ryan Clark (stinger) and defensive lineman Chris Baker (chest) were limited. Tackle Tyler Polumbus did not practice because of a personal issue and might return in time for practice Friday.
Jackson's loss would be a tough one for Washington. He's averaging 20.0 yards per catch this season on 47 receptions with five touchdowns. Gruden said there's no structural damage to his knee because of the injury.
"It's just a wait and see if he can handle the pain," Gruden said.
Robinson was limited Wednesday, but Gruden said he did not suffer a setback. Gruden said Robinson tried to tape his knee and put a brace on it, but wasn't able to practice.
"It's just a painful injury," Gruden said.
