RICHMOND, Va. -- The Redskins added more names to their injury list Friday, though none of them were considered serious – and it’s uncertain if the new aches will result in missed time.
Here is an update on the injured players:
CB David Amerson: Still out with a sore shoulder. Coach Jay Gruden said he’s getting close to returning. Gruden said they wanted to hold him out of contact drills for one more day.
TE Logan Paulsen: Sprained big toe; still swollen. Gruden said Paulsen was close to returning.
CB DeAngelo Hall: Remains day-to-day with a groin injury.
CB Chris Culliver: Sat out with a groin injury; day-to-day.
S Jeron Johnson: Out for a week with a hamstring injury.
LB Preston Smith: Sore groin; sat out practice Friday. He will possibly work Saturday.
DE Stephen Paea: He strained his groin Friday, but Gruden made it sound as if it was minor.
LB Trevardo Williams: Hamstring injury; out.
DE Frank Kearse: Banged his knee in practice; left the field, returned and worked out with the trainers to see if he could continue. He did not. Gruden said Kearse likely will practice Saturday.
