A week into free agency, here is a projected depth chart for the Baltimore Ravens:
Offense
QB: Joe Flacco (injured), Ryan Mallett
RB: Justin Forsett, Buck Allen
FB: Kyle Juszczyk
WR: Steve Smith Sr., Kamar Aiken
WR: Mike Wallace, Breshad Perriman
TE: Ben Watson, Crockett Gillmore (injured), Maxx Williams
LT: Eugene Monroe, James Hurst
LG: John Urschel, Ryan Jensen
C: Jeremy Zuttah, John Urschel
RG: Marshal Yanda, Leon Brown
RT: Rick Wagner, De'Ondre Wesley
Outlook: The big battles will be at running back and left guard. Coach John Harbaugh didn't endorse Forsett as the team's primary back, which means it will be an open competition with Buck Allen. With Kelechi Osemele gone, the Ravens will choose between Urschel, who started at guard in the 2014 playoffs, and Jensen, who finished last season as the starting left guard. Monroe is penciled in at left tackle, but Baltimore could replace him with a high draft pick (Ronnie Stanley has been linked to them in the first round). The two free-agent additions, Wallace and Watson, are the other changes to the starting lineup after Baltimore invested $7.5 million in guaranteed money in them.
Defense
DT: Timmy Jernigan, Kapron Lewis-Moore
NT: Brandon Williams, Carl Davis
DE: Lawrence Guy, Brent Urban
OLB: Terrell Suggs, Brennen Beyer
ILB: C.J. Mosley, Albert McClellan
ILB: Zachary Orr, Arthur Brown
OLB: Elvis Dumervil, Za'Darius Smith
LCB: Shareece Wright, Kyle Arrington
SS: Eric Weddle, Matt Elam
FS: Lardarius Webb, Kendrick Lewis
RCB: Jimmy Smith, Will Davis
Outlook: There are two openings in the starting lineup after Baltimore released inside linebacker Daryl Smith and defensive end Chris Canty. Orr split time with Smith toward the end of last season, which should make him the early frontrunner. But there's a good chance that the Ravens will address inside linebacker early in the draft (UCLA's Myles Jack is a candidate at No. 6 overall). Guy started six games for Canty last season, but Urban will be given a chance to unseat him. The safety position has been revamped with the signing of Weddle and the move of Webb from cornerback.
