SEATTLE -- The Detroit Lions will be without their best offensive lineman for the second time this season.
Right guard Larry Warford has been ruled inactive for Detroit for Monday night with an ankle injury. He had practiced all week with the Lions, but was deemed questionable on the team's official game designations Saturday.
With Warford out, the Lions will slide Manny Ramirez from left guard to right guard and then start first-round pick Laken Tomlinson for the second time this season at left guard. Warford had initially injured the ankle during the team's second preseason game against Washington.
Losing Warford doesn't necessarily bode well for Detroit's run game, which has been last in the league averaging 45 yards per contest.
Detroit's other inactives were not surprising. Linebacker DeAndre Levy, tight end Brandon Pettigrew, running back Joique Bell and tackle Corey Robinson were all ruled out before Monday. The Lions also deactivated defensive end Phillip Hunt and defensive tackle Jermelle Cudjo.
As he has done throughout the season, Josh Bynes will start in place of Levy and fullback Michael Burton is listed as the starter in place of Pettigrew. Ameer Abdullah, as expected, will start in place of Bell.
