DETROIT -- With DeAndre Levy back at linebacker, the Detroit Lions decided to deactivate Kyle Van Noy, the team's second-round pick in 2014, for Sunday's game against Arizona.
Van Noy is the biggest surprise among the inactives, especially since the team ruled out Haloti Ngata, Eric Ebron and Joique Bell before the game. Right guard Larry Warford is also inactive again while dealing with an ankle injury. He had a weird week of practice, being limited on Wednesday and Friday while not practicing at all Saturday.
Lions coach Jim Caldwell said Friday that Warford was "on the mend" but wouldn't give specifics.
The Lions also made offensive tackle Corey Robinson and newly-signed defensive tackle Ish Kitchen inactive. Defensive tackle Andre Fluellen, who signed his ninth contract with the team this week, is active against the Cardinals.
