NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee Titans players who are "up" and those who are "down" coming out of Sunday’s loss to the Miami Dolphins:
UP
Tight end Delanie Walker: Walker’s been part of a lot of bad football since joining the Titans as a free agent in 2013. But even in a lot of bad losses he’s been a productive player. That was the case again against Miami, when he caught 8 of 10 balls thrown his way for a game-high 97 yards.
DOWN
Quarterback Marcus Mariota: The protection and weapons did little to help him out and he deserves credit for toughing it out after taking a shot to his left knee. But the Titans had four giveaways and they were all his – two lost fumbles and two interceptions. Miami turned those into 21 points.
Right tackle Jeremiah Poutasi: Ken Whisenhunt pulled Poutasi in the second quarter as he felt the rookie had lost confidence against rusher Cameron Wake, who was completely dominating the matchup. Jamon Meredith certainly had his struggles too, as Wake wound up with four sacks, two forced fumbles and two tackles for a loss.
